What are the music styles you enjoy? Favourite composers, bands, and artists?
I enjoy nearly all music. My favourites being country, metal, classical, and what I call lounge music (artists such as Sinatra, Buble, and Dean Martin). Megadeth, Gary Allen, Michael Buble, Sarah Evans, Jars of Clay, Dean Martin, Black Eyed Peas, Dmx, Bach, The Beatles, and The Animals currently dominate my playlists.
Quite a diverse list. I too, enjoy almost all kinds of music. My favorite is probably the blues and heavy metal. Everything from Willie Dixon to Metallic to even Slayer. I have a great appreciation for Latin style guitar. Classic rock has been a part of my life since I learned to talk with Led Zepelin and Pink Floyd, the Doors, SRV, CCR, ZZ Top and the Allman Bros. near the top of my favs. I pretty much like all the great guitarists. Dr. John is my kind of piano player.
Not a big fan of glam rock, disco or anything with an accordion. Although if it's good; I still like it. The thing about blues based rock is it can kind of suck, be unoriginal and badly played and I still enjoy it. AC/DC covers are a blast!

I'll not even attemtp to name some of my fave artists and bands, too long a list.
I too have an ecletic tates in music, my great looves being Blues, Rock, and Regga of any strand, but I have a soft spot for Soul, Northen Soul, Punk, and SKA. I'm loving the crop of young talent we have in the UK charts at the moment, Ga Ga, N-dubz, Pixie Lott and co. Nice to see Electronica making somewhat of a revival. Rock 'n' roll, is always nice to hear, and okay I will just give a mention to Janis Joplin, when she sings whatever it is she is singing about , you know she means it.

Lee, I was listening to some northern soul last night. If you're ever in Brighton for an evening, check out the Funky Fish club down on the sea front.
Fiddler, interesting that you like Megadeth. How do you feel about Dave Mustaine's conversion to Christianity? Has it tainted the music at all for you? Personally I feel his talents peaked at the height of his drug use ('Rust In Peace').
My music taste is pretty ecclectic, you can view my listening habits here:

As a card-carrying old fart, I listen mostly to classic country and classical.
I have a country dance band that plays mostly roadhouse style, with a bit of waltz and Caribbean tossed in.
I spend a lot of time traveling the mid-south US, getting involved in jams -- mostly bluegrass and blues.
viz: 1. Mississippi Blues Trail 2. Mountain View Arkansas
As for "modern" music, I find much of that to be an oxymoron, viewing most of it having a sound reminiscent of a dozen or so people screaming in agony as various over-amplified instruments bounce down an endless staircase and pummel them to death.
Bluegrass huh! Nice very nice. Modern music though, what you mean tehn i assume is that you don't like it, it is still musci of course and contempory so I guess also modern, sorry sir, I'll have to claim your oxymoron lable as false.

why would it? Didn't you notice that a christian rock/pop group is in my playlist? As long as the musics good, I enjoy it. I liked the world needs a hero, but rust in peace still stands as spectacular.
