He's already a liberal darling, has been for years.
He won't be declared. They don't do that with celebrities, don't dare.
In 1996 two Sea Org knuckleheads showed up at my house unannounced to
try to "salvage" me. Scared the hell out of my wife. I listened to them
for a while just to see what they'd say. I told them that with all I
knew I'd been putting up with the bullshit in kind of a still looking
for the pony in the room full of shit, then I read "A Piece of Blue
Sky" and Jon Atack put together some pieces I hadn't.
"Well," I was told. "Jon Atack was a heroin addict, you know."
I said, "So was my old roommate Nicky Hopkins, and so was Chick Corea.
Your point?"
They had none. I threw them out and told them that if any staff member
or $cientology ever showed up at my house or bothered me or my family
again, if I didn't shoot them, I'd call the cops, and I'd sue their
asses off.
I never heard from anyone. No "declare" no harassment (except some
idiot registrar telling me I had money on account), no nothing, no
matter how much I speak out about the cult.
Fuck 'em. They got nothing. They won't do shit about Haggis, but I hope
they do, because they're 5 feet 11.99 inches deep with their grave
already, and I'd love to see them finish digging so the service can
start and we can hold the wake.
